After the shows and an outfit re-work, I was off to participate in Fashion’s Night Out! I was accompanied by one of my assistants, Latoya. We were ready to paint the town red! Hitlist of destinations in hand! We were off! Come on….catch up….let’s go!
My first stop was to visit I-Ella’s penthouse soiree and shopping experience. I-Ella is an invitation/referral only online consignment shop. You can post gently used clothing to sell, swap, rent or lend. It is a fashionista’s haven! It is definitely a “green” way to shop and in addition, 10 % of your purchase goes to the charity of your choice!
The penthouse was amazing! Right in the heart of the Flatiron district. We were greeted by sparkling wine and cupcakes, then we headed upstairs to the closet sampling that Ella selected for the evening. There were beautiful name brand dresses, skirts , shoes and handbags all priced ready to move.
While LaToya and I were looking at the rack, Ella came in. It was a pleasure to finally meet the face behind the name of this fantastic service.
We thanked our hostess for a lovely event and headed out to the next event. We were off to the Times Square area to the Red Light PR event at Forever21 & Divine Rights of Denim. There in store celebrity was the fabulous Christian Serratos from Twilight! We went and said hello to the fantastic team at Red Light PR and were taken over to meet Christian! We even got a signed autograph! She was very kind and very pretty! It was my pleasure to meet her! She has a new fan!
We then jumped next door to the Disney Store for a VIP tour of what was new for Disney. If you have children or just a child at heart, go see what’s new at Disney. Kidada Jones has created a great line of jewelry products for Disney. My favorites, the Wish-A-Littles, inspire and encourage little girls to make a wish and keep it in a special place for it to nurture. Wow! We also were able to smell the new fragrance “Pixie Dust”. It just puts you in a good mood.
With the time flying and lots to see, we high tailed it to the Meatpacking district. We got a little disoriented but, it worked out in our favor. We came upon a pretty, decorated truck and we were peeking inside when the handsome gentleman in front told us to come in and extended his hand to us to help us on the truck. To our shock and amazement, we were on a traveling boutique, Joey Wolffer’s ” The Styleliner”. We had died and gone to fashionista heaven! The truck is outfitted as a high end boutique on wheels.

I spoke with Joey and asked her about her concept. She was tired of seeing everyone wearing the same things so, she goes out and finds new and unique designers and curates her own , unique traveling boutique. Genius! I wish I had thought of it! You can follow “The Styleliner” via twitter to find out where she’ll be.
Just as we were getting our groove going, the clock struck 10 pm and everything began to close down. “Sigh”. So much to do, so little time. Our feet were hurting but, our fashion spirits were high! We decided to call it an evening and prepare for the next day of events. I will plan differently next time and try not to “take on Manhattan” and “shop smarter”.
I hope you enjoyed the shopping experience. We’ll do it again next year. Flat shoes in tow, itinerary in hand and credit card ready! I hope you’ll join me!
Gone shopping…Be back soon!
