Hooray! Hooray! Fashion Week is here! For every Fashion Stylist and Fashionista, this is the week we wait for. What’s new, who’s new, who’s who? As promised, I will be taking you along as my “plus 1″ during my agenda.
Bright and early Thursday morning, I was at Lincoln Center ready for my first show, Porter Grey Spring 2012.
(My look: Jumpsuit: Rya, Shoes: Aldo, Necklace: Dannijo, Bracelet:Kenneth Cole, Bag: LV)
The collection was beautiful! The silhouettes were clean and fresh. The color palette consisted of oyster, white, geranium, hydrangea, yellow, navy and pansy prints. The fabrics were silk crepe, cotton poplin, perforated leather, chiffon and denim. The perfect fabrics to take you through Spring! There was even a beaded skirt for the bling in all of us!
Your feet should be happy as well! Porter Grey showed the collection with flat oxfords in two tone nudes and dark colors.
It’s great to see a collection the way it was presented at “The Box”. You have an opportunity to see the clothes up close and personal. See the details, see the fit, the texture of the fabric. It’s a feast for the Fashionista’s eye! It makes the collection approachable. Porter Grey is definitely one to watch! I am definitely a fan!
Next stop, BCBG Max Azria one of my favorite brands! I was thrown full force into Spring! After a heavy downpour of rain in the morning, the collection made you take a deep breath, prepare for Fall/Winter and give you fashion to look forward to! the colors were vibrant and mixed in sophisticated color combinations. The diaphonus, flowing fabrics made you feel the breezes of Spring. There was a definite, modern , tribal/ethnic feel to the prints and silhouettes. I am in love!
Stay tuned! There is plenty more to come. Get your next outfit together because we will be front row for the rest of Fashion Week.
~Gone Shopping…Be back soon!
